Okanagan Wine Festivals
Fall Wine Festival September 29th - October 8th, 2006
For ten days in early October enjoy over 165 events throughout the valley which are focused on wine, food, education and the arts in one of North America’s most spectacular settings – the Okanagan Valley. This festival continues to be ranked in the top 100 events by the American Bus Association.
In particular, Mission Hill Family Estate will be hosting numerous on-site events. Mission Hill just happens to be happily close to The Cove! Wine Spectator Magizine has said, "Mission Hill winery is a work of art, starting with the Chagall tapestry in the winery reception room, and continuing with [proprietor] von Mandl's collection of antique wine-drinking vessels and the cellar blasted from volcanic rock." Learn to demystify the dynamics of wine and food pairing in this tactile session with our sommelier. Enjoy tasting the wines as experts do, then incorporate different food elements to achieve the perfect pairing.
A Taste of BC Waters Dinner (reception plus five courses)

The Mission Hill culinary team invites you to attend an evening to celebrate the bounty of BC waters. Seasonally inspired creations using only the best seafood BC has to offer and internationally acclaimed wines. Semi-formal attire.
Winemaker for a Day
Friday, October 6th, 2006: 2:00 - 4:00 pm
Learn how to blend your own Bordeaux! Start your experience with a barrel tasting of various varietals, and then experiment with our sommelier to create your own style of blend. Take home a 375 ml bottle of your wine to share with friends. This session also includes a visit to our barrel cellar.
Harvest Celebration Dinner (reception plus four courses)
Saturday, October 7th, 2006: 6:30 pm
Join us for a celebration of the fall harvest. During our multi-course evening, we'll pair the wines of Mission Hill Family Estate with the best seasonal dishes that our special valley has to offer. This event is a must attend festival stop, so be among the first to join us as we pay tribute to the 2005 harvest. Wine country casual.
