ART AND GALLERIES
In Downtown Kelowna you’ll find a fascinating Cultural District with numerous studios, public and private art galleries, theatres, three museums, cafés and restaurants. Kelowna was named the Cultural Capital of Canada in 2004 for cities of 50,000 – 125,000 residents.
Much of the city’s cultural activity is concentrated along a six-block stretch along the downtown waterfront known as Kelowna Cultural District.
And, of course, wonderful artwork can also be found in a many galleries located outside the Cultural District, itself. Right on the edge of town, you can enjoy the work of internationally acclaimed artist Geert Maas in his own gardens and gallery. Just a small sample of the galleries you can enjoy are:
Kelowna Art Gallery

Geert Maas is an artist of international standing. His art is part of public, corporate, private collections and has been shown in major cities around the world. This wonderful collection of indoor and outdoor art offers over 350 artworks, sculptures, paintings, and bronze sculptures in Canada.

A beautiful gallery in a century-old heritage home. The oldest commercial art gallery in the interior of British Columbia. Over 65 artists are represented.
