We invite you to visit another West Kelowna local, the Quails’ Gate Estate Winery.
Ben Stewart, with the support of his wife Ruth, co-founded Quails’ Gate Estate Winery in 1989. Ben devoted much of this time to pioneering the development of Pinot Noir in Canada. His passion was to see Pinot Noir developed in the Okanagan and to see it become the most critically acclaimed varietal in the region. As a result, Quails’ Gate is one of the worlds leading producers of Pinot Noir and has the greatest and one of the oldest selections of Pinot Noir clones in Canada.
Tony Stewart returned to the family business in 1992. As CEO of Quails’ Gate Estate Winery, he directs much of his energy to creating an environment that will enable Quails’ Gate to succeed as one of the world’s best wine houses. Tony is passionate about ensuring that Quails’ Gate visitors receive exceptional product and service.
Visit the historic wineshop, taste award winning wines, take a guided tour of the estate and dine at the Old Vines Restaurant, an al fresco restaurant with a patio that overlooks the vineyards and Lake Okanagan. Here you can get a taste of the Valley as it once was and experience the flavour of Quails’ Gate as it is today. Quails’ Gate tours operate daily and year round. Consistently regarded as one of the most educational and dynamic in the valley, tours include a history of the Okanagan Valley, a stroll through our vineyards, a visit to our production facilities and conclude with a tasting in our Wineshop.
Old Vines Restaurant is a meeting place of fresh local ingredients. With a selection of dishes that enhance the light, fresh and fruitful, rich style of Quails’ Gate wines. The menu is constantly evolving as a reflection of a focus on serving the best and freshest of the valley’s local artisans and west coast markets. Hand crafted Quails’ Gate wines, current vintages as well as a selection of library releases from the Proprietors’ cellars are paired with culinary creations from our Executive Chef. To complete the wine list, a selection of other top British Columbia varietals that are not produced by Quails’ Gate that reflect the bounty that this ‘supernatural’ wine growing region has to offer. Dedicated to providing a beautiful setting and the ultimate food and wine experience in the Okanagan Valley, Old Vines Restaurant has been honored as one of the best places to dine in the valley.
