The West Kelowna area offers great opportunities for cross-country skiing.
The Telemark Cross-Country Ski Club is a non-profit sports club dedicated to fostering and promoting the sport of Cross-Country skiing. The facility offers a modern, spacious chalet with heated washrooms and snack bar. There are over 50 kms of groomed trails for both Classic and Skate skiing, including 5km of fully lit for night skiing. Telemark also features a biathlon range and snowshoe trails. Numerous programs and events are hosted throughout the season. Access to the trails is $5 for those under 17 and $12 for those 18 and older for the day; rentals, guides and lessons are available.
The cross country ski season typically lasts from mid November until mid March, although the facilities are available year round for hiking, biking, and horseback riding.
