Kelowna Travel Guide

Article re-posted from A Blonde Life:

Kelowna, BC is one of the most beautiful places in British Columbia, and that's not the only reason to visit! Besides being one of the best places in Canada for wine tasting and tours, Kelowna also has stunning lakes, an incredible food scene, and beautiful resorts.

Here is the ultimate KELOWNA to-do list:

OUR FAVORITE PLACES TO EAT:

Wondering where to eat in Kelowna? Well you're in luck, because the restaurant/winery scene in Kelowna is amazing! Between Bonfire Restaurant, Quails' Gate Winery, Mission Hill Winery, and Indigenous World Winery, we would have to say that the brunch at the Bonfire Restaurant was probably our favorite place to eat and it was in The Cove Lakeside Resort, where we stayed.

WHERE TO HIKE IN KELOWNA:

We decide to check out the Myra Canyon Trestles which is a portion of the Kettle Valley Railway that runs along a steep-walled canyon. This impressive landmark is highlighted by 2 tunnels and 18 trestle bridges that are too spectacular for words. We walked about 4 kilometers to the first tunnel, walking over many trestles bridges along the way. The Myra Canyon Trail is 12 kilometers each way, for a total of 24 kilometers. It's a must see when visiting Kelowna, but be warned that the road up is a gravel road and was covered in snow when we visited in mid-November.

WHERE TO STAY:

The Resort selection in Kelowna is quite amazing, but we decided to stay on Okanagan Lake at The Cove Lakeside. It was right on the water and has two outdoor hot tubs and pools. The Cove is pet friendly and is very accommodating to your pets. When I visit again in the summer, I will be bringing my dogs along. The Cove has some amazing amenities, to list a few; they have a private 18 seat movie theater, seasonal outdoor fire pits, a private beach, bike rentals, putting green, and the spa. Next time we visit, we will be checking out the spa and the water activities they offer from LakeSurf Okanagan. I highly recommend staying here. It was a beautiful one bedroom suite and was the perfect little getaway.

Kelowna is such beautiful place to visit, you're guaranteed to have the most amazing time!
